Some more junk to the garbage #ipad

I though "why not me"?.So here are my 2 cents of junk on overhyped #ipad

  • Yes, it met the hype in terms of a magical UI required for tablet like iPad. But overall impression i currently have is its nothing but a glorified iPod touch(not even iPhone).
  • While Steve says its going to  take the market between Smartphone and PC/Mac ,for one having both of them a iPad will definitely be a NO
  • Needless to say its a typcial iPhone kinda launch with first version stripped of basic features -GPS, USB connectivity ans as i understand one needs to buy accessories again to connect your camera/sd card to it.
  • iBook store is definitely magical(as Steve says) but being an Indian i still prefer the physical book in my hand and i am not ready for a e reader . keeping in mind Music is not available in India on iTunes i'm not sure if books will be avaialble for India
  • Pricing - while the fan boys still wait for iPhone 3GS, i am doubtfull if iPad will be available for India at all. Even other wise at $829(40K+ INR) for the high end version its definitely high price for Indian market considering import duties and taxes
  • May be this time if Apple & India gets lucky by July & 3G rolls out by that time and apple gets a good deal with any of the 3G supported ops- iHope to see it in India
  • Me buying it on the whole - NO. I already own a Nokia Smartphone, Laptop and guess i would go for netbook if at all i plan to buy a device in between, considering net book has better functionality compared to iPad. Afterall i need Functionality to fancy and Multitasking to Multi touch
