Random Things

I have always wondered

1) If Adam and eve spent their life fighting, that Men don't understand women.
2) Why Pizza's are so costly in India
3) How long will women continue to say they men dont understand them

Three simple rules to surviving corporate life with a smile:
1. If you look forward to fridays, you’re not doing it right
2. Leave the rat-race to the rats – don’t live for the pay-check, job grade or expense account
3. Never let processes get in the way of doing the right thing

Everything else just falls into place

Customer Service: 3 March 2010

While i wait  to chose a topic for today, a SMS from Big Flix just arrived in my inbox and it reads

"As we strive for better service, the BIGFlix store hours are changing from 5-Mar-2010.Please visit our stores or call 3988 5454 for more details.

So the message doesnt say anything about new store timings..huh.

Truth as revealed by the manager of the store I frequent is that, BIGFlix is actually decreasing the no. of hours the stores are open for. Store timings are getting changed from 10AM-9.30PM to 12PM-9PM.

So how is one going to better the service by decreasing the working hours of the store?

Dork Thoughts: 2 Mar 2010

The first think I did after reading the author's note is to check Google if some one had already created 'The Real Robin Einstein Varghese Blog' and parallely tweet to Sidin about it. Not that I am interested in creating one, but i felt that it makes real sense to start a Real Einstein blog against current phenomenon of fake blogs.

Yeah, the pace was good, except that there is overdose of F words i thought.A losers life may be bad to live, but reading about a losers life was full fun.

MNIK,@iamsrk,MNS and other random stuff

  • First things first,My name has a 'Raj' in it and i am not @iamsrk fan.
  • MNIK for the way it is made is well executed most of the movie and doesnt need a publicity stunts with US airports & MNS- it has all the strength to pull off on it own.
  • Yes, there is some influence of forrest gump given the way SRK narrates in the background all thru the movie.
  • First half i believe is precise and upto point unlike second half where Mr.KJ dragged to the last
  • Interms of execution, better than any other KJ's movies ,one can comfortably say that.
  • Coming to acting SRK definitely did it and needless to say both the kids did their job effortlessly.
  • There there is too much of confusion in the end and ofcourse one needs it to reach a conclusion.
  • One thing i want sure is what KJ wanted to tell - given i always prefer to takeaway one underlying thought.
  • And yeah there were talks that 3Idiots pulled off well interms of collections, compared  to MNIK, i think both of them should not be comapred at all.
  • While people say AK is about perfection, atleast in this movie I say SRK is about honesty- honest to the role he played.
  • As usual my regular crib that songs spoil the continuity of a good cinema, this one is a little better with one mainstream song, most of them happen in BG.
  • Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy at their best in their Back ground score in some crucial scenes.
  • On the other hand srk should have offered a free show to all the T-company for the scene they created. Atleast some of them have got some shame.
  • For all the money, time and effort that KJ, SRK put in the movie.T gang really hurt them
  • U arent seeing any negatives abt the movie, i dint try to find any plus +ves  out do the negatives.
  • Usally i dont believe in stars- meaning star ratings. I say its definitely worth a watch in any mode that you can afford. I personally dont suggest piracy, but up to you.

And finally My name is Raj, i am not SRK fan and i liked the movie

To Zynga,with Love

While Zynga decides to set shop in India, here are some Indian Social Games i feel make sense for India.

  1. Book Cricket, #
  2. Signal Jumping and Escaping Cops, More cops you escape more levels you reach #
  3. Matki Phod- pic
  4. Catch the Rat in your dorm.
  5. Escape from street dogs(no this is not simple as Pac-Man)
  6. Kill a Mosquito
  7. Cross the road in traffic.

while Zynga says they may not completely focus on Indianizing social game , i think its worth the effort.

BTW did you know that Facebook Users Average 7 hrs a Month in January

Note to self 1: Pls. block those two new friends who just joined some name less, useless, annoying, irritating game and spamming my timeline.

How am I working

Xobni as they say is a Outlook add-in saves you time finding email, conversations, contact info & attachments. Its just not claim , it actually is. Its magical and just searches and gives you the mail you are looking for. But,the free version just searches and shows mails only from the primary .pst file of MS Outlook.

Thats not all, Xobni has another brilliant hidden feature called Xobni Analytics and this is what it says about me and mail activities.
So here is what i have learnt.

Whoa , thats a lot of mails i have sent and read. Ok next one

Oh, I am quite interactive. Last one...

Thats hell lot of efficiency, i reply to every mail with in 2 hrs. Now beat my record.
